Bloodborne Pathogens Training
Bloodborne Pathogens are pathogenic microorganisms that can be present in human blood and can lead to illness. Examples of Bloodborne Pathogens include Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis C (HCV). For healthcare workers, please note that the same precautions taken during a typical work day should still be in place during a disaster-meaning that Universal Precautions are the same during disaster situations as they are at all other times. Be safe!
All non-medical volunteers wishing to serve as Leadership Level volunteers are required to take this training.
